Tennessee Volunteers(Vols) (In)come (Tax)

Welcome to the Knoxville,TN area AARP Tax-Aide appointments website. Income taxes are prepared by IRS trained and certified volunteers at locations in and around Knoxville. You may make an appointment for tax assistance on this website.

We are still operating under pandemic restrictions this year. For your health and ours, we will try to minimize the amount of face-to-face contact. Face coverings, covering both nose and mouth, are required for both you and us, and we will be doing additional cleaning and sanitizing between taxpayers.

After a counselor interviews you, you will sign a list of your tax documents. You will leave the documents with us and leave the area while your return is being prepared and reviewed, leaving a cell phone number to use if we have questions. We will give you a time to return or call you when we finish your return. After you review your return, you will be asked to sign the document list to acknowledge that all your tax documents have been returned.

You can now make an appointment online by selecting a location below where you would like to have your taxes prepared.

Due to late January mailing of required IRS letters 6475 and 6419, the Appointment Center will open on Jan. 31, 2022.
