Tennessee Volunteers(Vols) (In)come (Tax)
Welcome to the Knoxville,TN area AARP Tax-Aide appointments website. Income taxes are prepared by IRS trained and certified volunteers at locations in and around Knoxville. You may make an appointment for tax assistance on this website.
Please read the pages on this website carefully so that you understand and agree to the COVID-19 safety protocols we will be following for your well being as well as our volunteers.
You will be asked to wait in your car while your return is being prepared. You will be asked to sign a consent form permitting us to take your tax documents from you to use for tax preparation. Your documents will be given back to you when your return is complete. You should bring a cellphone so the counselor preparing your return can call you to ask questions while preparing your return.
COVID-19 restrictions in Knox County prohibit us from using the following facilities this year:
Farragut/Cedar Bluff Branch Library (counselors normally here will be at Bearden Central Baptist Church on Tuesdays)
Powell Branch Library (counselors normally here will be at Powell United Methodist Church on Thursdays)
South Knoxville Senior Center (counselors normally here will be at O'Connor Senior Center on Mondays)
You can now make an appointment online by selecting a location below where you would like to have your taxes prepared.
